Wild Zoological Park Launches Search for New Home After Outgrowing Vineyard Site

The Wild Zoological Park team explained that while their current location has provided a unique and picturesque setting, space limitations and seasonal visitor patterns have made it challenging to expand exhibits and improve facilities.

The spokesperson added: “We’ve reached a point where we simply need more space and flexibility to create the very best environment for our animals and visitors alike. Our aim is to find a site that allows us to operate and thrive all year round, while also offering new, exciting experiences.”

The family-run zoo, known for its interactive animal encounters and conservation-led approach, attracts thousands of visitors each year. Over the past decade, it has become a local favourite, housing species from meerkats and lemurs to reptiles and exotic birds.

Owners are appealing to landowners, businesses, and local authorities who may be able to offer or help identify a suitable new site. The hope is to relocate without disrupting the zoo’s operations, ensuring its educational and community programmes continue.

Potential sites need to provide adequate acreage for enclosures, indoor facilities, parking, and future development. Proximity to main transport links will also be a key factor in the decision.

The zoo’s relocation plans have already sparked an outpouring of support on social media, with regular visitors and animal lovers expressing their hope that the park will find the perfect new home soon.
