Access Bank UK Polo Day 2025: Funding Education for 14,000 Children

The Access Bank UK Ltd, in partnership with Fifth Chukker and UNICEF, marked a decade of impactful giving at the 2025 Polo Day held at Guards Polo Club, Windsor. Since its inception, the annual event has raised funds to build and equip 60 schoolroom blocks in Nigeria, directly supporting the education of 14,000 children.

This year’s event aims to double that impact by funding the next phase of another 60 fully equipped classrooms, reinforcing Access Bank’s long-standing commitment to inclusive education and sustainable community development.

Jamie Simmonds, CEO of The Access Bank UK Ltd, highlighted the event’s strategic value: “We see this as a bridge between continents—connecting purpose with prosperity through education.”

Not just a showcase of world-class polo, the event provides a platform for African talent and global legends like Adolfo Cambiaso, who this year played alongside his daughter Mia, a reflection of the event’s intergenerational and international appeal.

Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, Chairman of Access Holdings, noted: “Polo at Guards unites global changemakers to invest in Africa’s future through education. Our partnership with UNICEF and Fifth Chukker is both symbolic and transformative.”

Roosevelt Ogbonna, Group CEO of Access Bank Plc, added: “Education is a fundamental right. Aligning our brand with this mission shows that financial success and social impact can go hand in hand.”

The Access Bank UK Charity Polo Day remains a standout example of how corporate leadership and global partnerships can drive lasting change—from rural Nigeria to the heart of the UK.
